ALAMO EXECUTIVES ASSOCIATION WEEKLY MEETING
Meetings are held at 7:00 a.m.Tuesday mornings either at The Club at Sonterra or at various member business locations.
Through weekly meetings, AEA members become a part of a close-knit organization, which is focused on increasing member business, marketing, and the exchange of information on business developments in the San Antonio area.
Meetings provide members the opportunity to discuss, display & demonstrate their companies’ products and services as well as, positive input of the benefits of doing business with them.
The Sonterra chefs cater a sumptuous breakfast buffet. Members proceed to their tables for conversation, leads, and the exchange of information. The meetings are always finished by 8:30 a.m. giving ample time to begin your regular business day.
Various Guest Speakers will be invited to discuss important business topics. Members will discuss new areas involving their business trends. Quarterly Mixers will allow Members & Guests to network in social situations either in local restaurants or in member homes.
The Big Bowling Night
Throughout the year AEA Members and their guests will meet for a Potluck Dinner & bowling event at Hermann Sons Bowling Alley. This is always a popular event! We can not claim to have any championship bowlers but everyone has lots of fun, lots of food and lots of prizes. Families, guests and clients are always welcome.
Retama Park Race Night
One of the favorite annual events is the thoroughbred racing night at Retama Park in the comfort of the private Alamo Downs Room overlooking the paddock. Drinks and a dinner buffet are served. Many members take this opportunity to invite guests – family, clients and friends to this event. It is organized so that you don’t have anything to do but show up and take credit for the great time. The date for the 2008 Retama Park Races is Saturday. October 25th ~ you'll want to make reservations early ~ they go fast.
ESTHER'S FOLLIES
Once a year AEA Members and guests will board a luxury motor coach and travel to Austin to enjoy the hilarious Esther's Follies. Billed as part magic show, part vaudeville review, part improv tour-de-force, Esther's Follies takes no prisoners, offering biting, hilarious satire on all the news makers and events fit to parody. To quote the Austin-American Statesman, "Esther's Follies is rip roaringly funny."
This event was held on Saturday, May 10th. Fifty five members & guests raved about the show and the luxury ride with Regent Coach Line,LTD. We will do this again in May 2009.
